Keeping on the Same Page — Definitions

You’ll see and hear a few terms used throughout the guide and while talking to the Jujama team. To be sure nothing gets confusing, here are a list of some of those terms:

  • Admin – The web-based application for you to manage your event. There are times when words escape us, so you may hear this referred to as “the backend”.
  • App – The Jujama software used for your event (includes desktop and mobile app). Depending on where and how this is being discussed, you may hear the terms Software, Platform, System, or Portal being used.
  • Attendee – A conference goer or Person within Jujama. Attendees can be categorized by Participation Type (see below).
  • Graphics – This refers to the Desktop Theme Elements and Email Banner that are initially set for an event for identifying purposes within the Jujama platform. More on the graphics can be found later in the guide.
  • Container App – The term container app will be used to refer to the “Jujama App” or an app that houses multiple events.
  • Event – A conference, “meeting”, etc. that you are using Jujama for.
  • Meeting – This term is often interchangeable for event, but when used in Jujama, it typically refers to a one-to-one meeting relating to networking at an event.
  • Participation Type – A category for a Person, such as “Attendee”, “Speaker”, “Delegate”, “Staff”. Multiple participation types can be setup.
  • White-Label App – This refers to a single-event app created and branded for a company or event.
