How To: Theme Setup – Mobile App Experience and Branding

Jujama allows for branding and theming both the desktop and mobile app platforms. Maintaining branding across your event app can be a great way to unify your message and keep your audience engaged. While the desktop app experience is set, there are several settings that will determine what the mobile app experience will be. These settings will dictate how the mobile app should be branded

Mobile App Experience: After login, a dashboard type can be selected for the mobile app to open to a list, grid, or feature screen. This setting can be found under Setup > Theme Setup > Mobile App.

  • List: The list dashboard type will set the default home screen on the app to a split view of menu tabs on the left and event branding on the right.
  • Grid: The grid dashboard type will set the default home screen on the app to a split view of an event-branded banner on the top with menu buttons below.
  • Open to Feature Screen: Selecting "Open to Feature Screen" as the dashboard type will allow you to choose which feature will be set as the default home screen (ie. Social Feed, Agenda, etc.). If the Social Feed is chosen as the feature screen, an event-branded banner can be added to the top.

Mobile App General Settings: In addition to the dashboard type, the following settings can be adjusted to create the overall look and feel of your mobile app experience.

  • Display Top Menu Items in Bottom Bar: By default, on interior app screen views, the top few items from the menu arrangement will display in a bottom menu bar. This menu is in addition to the triple-line menu icon positioned on the upper left. This setting allows for the bottom menu bar to be toggled on/off.
  • Display Happening Now Feature: This option is only available when the dashboard type is set to “List”. The Happening Now feature will display below the split view of menu tabs and branding and rotates current sessions from the agenda.
  • Font Size: A default font size of 12 is set for the app, but a larger or smaller font size can be specified.

Mobile App Colors and Text Settings: Setting the colors and login text to match your brand or event theme will keep the event experience consistent. Use the below diagram to identify where the text and colors will display in the app. The colors can be updated by entering a hex color code in the field or by choosing a color from the color select option by clicking the swatch to the right of the field.
